A Dream Basement in Plainsboro

We helped our lovely clients from Plainsboro restore their family entertainment center, home away from home for their parents visiting from India, and respite from noisy children that we love but need 5 minutes from… aka their basement. This was their third flood! They survived Sandy, Ida and now the macerator toilet… womp womp.
We replaced rotten studs, drywall, cabinetry, tiled 2K square feet of flooring, replaced electrical, installed an electric fireplace, applied wallpaper, took down a wall (unrelated but we were already demoing, so why not open up some space?), replaced macerating systems (yes, we do plumbing too!), installed a sump pump, trimmed, painted and celebrated a wonderful Indian holiday called Diwali. Whew!
We had a bit of a time convincing them to the tile that much floor. But when they saw our flooring suggestion – ‘wood look’ tile that would match the rest of the flooring in the house and still give the appearance of warmth that their previous luxury vinyl plank (LVP) did, they were convinced. That and the fact that they wouldn’t have to replace their LVP yet again. Tile is a permanent baby!
The project turned out great and our clients are so happy! We love basements!
